Friends, let me share an interesting story... this one is based on an incident faced by one of my seniors...  its his take and I've just paraphrased his answer of the question  strangest things happened in  life.!!! In 2011 (that time it was AIEEE, a competitive test for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in India ) my exam centre was Mount Abu Rohini, New Delhi. The exam was supposed to start at 9 am but till 9:05 am question paper was not provided. Everybody started whispering but no one had guts to ask the invigilator. A guy stood and asked the invigilator: What is going on, why aren't you giving the question paper? Don't you think time is exceeding the time written in the schedule? Invigilator: Cool down my boy, somebody has tampered with question paper that's why we have to tamper the schedule. The guy: What do you mean you have to tamper with schedule? Invigilator: I mean exam is post...

That was Sunday morning and it was raining outside. I woke up early in the morning at 6:30, and looked the weather outside.       It was very cool, and wet weather. Rain drops were showering everywhere. Rain was looking in the mood of playing test match that day. Clouds were batting like Don Bradman with an average run rate but consistent, and continuous. My lazy attitude told me to lie down on bed again, but heart already planned for something exciting. I wore my T-shirt, and moved outside to enjoy morning walk in the rainy day. After a walk on municipal corporation park, I went to the shop where various newspapers were purchased. The lady operated that shop, picked Times of India and gave to me. I took the paper, and gave her four rupees. It was raining outside, and I didn’t have carry bag to protect newspaper. I asked lady shop keeper for a polythene. She thought for a while, and tried to find polythene in her shop. After looking here and there for a wh...

Friends, there are many things in life that will catch your eyes but only a few will catch your heart.... pursue those....!     “ What’s your hobby Nitin?” My english teacher( Ms. sikha dixit )asked me when I was introducing myself to the class in first session of the semester.  What to say…what to say? Something went on my inside. “Its watching TV and listening songs.” I told her after a pause of few seconds. “Is watching TV your hobby or it’s just an activity you enjoyed?” I don’t know what to say on this so I just keep mum. “You know Nitin; you don’t have any hobby; find a hobby for yourself.” I sit and next boy started his introduction but mam’s words still echoed in my ears “Find a hobby for yourself.” I went to meet her after the class “What’s difference between hobby and action of enjoyment.” I asked her eagerly. “You know Nitin, our heart is like a child, who enjoys playing with a toy today but tomorrow same toy may not hold his interest. If he finds an...

Friends , "Trust is like a paper , once it's crumbled it can't be perfect..." "It's the anniversary today." He exclaimed in his mind, remembering the very same day of 2014. ... No. It's not an engagement or marriage anniversary. It's their 'Break Up' anniversary. It's been an year since she left him. He goes through that days proceedings, again, in his mind. 09-05-2014. She was looking beautiful, with a bright smile on her face. He was controlling himself, from spilling out all the happiness in his heart. He thought, "Today, I am gonna express my true feelings to her through this tiny ring". But before he could say anything, she broke the silence, and said, "I wanna tell you something." He replied, "What a coincidence! Even I have been longing to tell you something." She continued, "I think we should part our ways." These words felt like a dagger was being poke...

A real time experience of a nurse..........! Lenora was dying. She was 54 and had inoperable cancer. She lay in bed on pillows surrounded by fragrant flowers. The two of us were alone in her room. Lenora’s family was gathered at her house. Suddenly she addressed me sternly. “Ms. Nurse,” she said, pointing to a corner of the room, “this big angel comes and stands by my bed. Right there. He’s always smiling at me.”  She fixed me with a look.  “Ms. Nurse, when I see that angel, do you really think I see that angel?” Something in Lenora’s tone told me she’d already tried convincing her family about this angel.  Years before, when I first started working as a hospice nurse, I might have hesitated answering her question. I knew all too well the effects of medication and exhaustion on a dying brain. That day, though, I knew exactly what to say. I knew, because years of working with people at the end of their lives had taught me a new, more hopeful and, I bel...

“When I hear somebody sigh, ‘Life is hard,’ I am always tempted to ask, ‘Compared to what?’” Life is like a journey on a train...   with its stations...   with changes of routes...   and with accidents !   We board this train when we are born and our parents are the ones who get our ticket. We believe they will always travel on this train with us. However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey. As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant - our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life. Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives. Many will go so unnoticed that we won't even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train ! This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells. A good journey is helping, loving, having a good rel...
